Steroids are artificial compounds linked chemically to the male sex hormone ‘Testosterone’ that is responsible for the maturation of male features falling out during puberty. Steroids were first developed in 1930 to help men who were incapable to produce sufficient testosterone in their bodies.

However, steroids are widely used by jocks that engaged in power sports such as power-lifting, muscle building, baseball, football, and rugby to boost their performance levels, and build up muscles. Anabolic steroids are often called muscle-building steroids, because the offer great results in muscle building.

The muscle building steroids cause the body to raise the tissue amount and to metabolize fat within the body. That’s why body-builders make use of muscle building steroids to their advantages. However, according to the 1988 federal law, the supply & use of muscle building steroids for non-remedial purpose is against the law. The muscle building steroids are restricted medications in the United States, Britain, Canada and many other parts of the world.

Today, the majority of athletes abuse steroids, which is completely erroneous and unlawful. The use of muscle building steroids for competitive purposes is legally banished. The muscle building steroids are available in form of tablets, capsules, gels and injections. There are lots of muscle building steroids available in the market. Some of the highly abused muscle building steroids include Dianabol, Winstrol, Testosterone, Danocrine, Anadur, Anavar, Andriol, AndroGel, Anadrol, Cheque Drops, Oxandrin, Winstrol, Deca-Durabolin, Durabolin, Equipoise, and Depo-testosterone.

There are many risks involved in using muscle building steroids. The muscle building steroids may have serious side effects and dangerous consequences. Some of the common side effects of muscle building steroids include dizziness, early hair loss, sleeping problems, vomiting, sadness, mood changes, pain in joints, hallucinations, mental illness, urinary problems, jaundice, stroke, heart disease, trembling, high blood pressure, and increased chance of injuring muscles and tendons. The muscle building steroids are also responsible for causing aggressiveness, gloominess, nervousness, and uncontrolled bouts of anger.

What Are Nutrients? Discover Exactly What Nutrients Are

Why should you avoid high doses of vitamins? Which vitamins need to be taken together to be well absorbed? Find the answer to these questions and more here.

Six important nutrients

They’re more than vitamins, though people often think they are the same thing.

Carbohydrates, proteins (which are made up of amino acids ), fats, minerals, vitamins, and water are all nutrients—absorbable components of foods—and necessary for good health. Nutrients are necessary for energy, organ function, food utilization, and cell growth.

The Difference Between Micronutrients and Macronutrients

Micronutrients, like vitamins and minerals, do not themselves provide energy. The macronutrients—carbohydrates, fat, and protein—do that, but only when there are sufficient micronutrients to release them.

With nutrients, less is often the same as more.

The amount of micronutrients and macronutrients you need for proper health
is vastly different—but each is important.

How Nutrients Get to Work

The body simplifies nutrients in order to utilize them.

Nutrients basically work through digestion. Digestion is a process of continuous chemical simplification of materials that enter the body through the mouth. Materials are split by enzymatic action into smaller and simpler chemical fragments, which can then be absorbed through walls of the digestive tract—an open-ended muscular tube, more than thirty feet long, which passes through the body—and finally enter the bloodstream.

Your Body Needs Togetherness

Vitamins alone are not enough.

As important as vitamins are, they can do nothing for you without minerals.
I like to call minerals the Cinderellas of the nutrition world, because, though
very few people are aware of it, vitamins cannot function and cannot be
assimilated without the aid of minerals. And though the body can synthesize
some vitamins, it cannot manufacture a single mineral.

Orthotics are orthopedic devices that are used to treat a variety of biomechanical foot disorders. Whenever a person’s foot is not functioning as designed, the weight of the body is not properly transferred and distributed. As a result, pain and tenderness can develop in the foot, ankle, and the surrounding muscles. Orthotics work to relieve pain by realigning and supporting the ligaments and bones of the foot properly, so that the foot can function as normal.

Orthotics are can be made of any number of materials and range greatly in terms of price, effectiveness, and ease of availability. Simple orthotics, such as the shoe insoles and gel heel cups sold in general goods stores, are inexpensive and widely available. These over-the-counter orthotics can relieve mild foot discomfort by taking excess pressure off of sensitive areas of the foot. They are relatively ineffective, though, at treating moderate to more severe foot disorders.

The next step-up in orthotics are custom-tailored devices that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the particular individual. Such orthotics usually require a doctor’s prescription since an impression of the foot, called a cast, needs to be made in order to identify those areas of the feet that are out of alignment. The resulting cast is sent to an orthotic laboratory so that a custom device can be produced to correct any misalignments. The orthotic is then fitted to the patient’s shoe to help keep the foot properly aligned.

Since perfectly aligned feet are uncommon, nearly everyone stands to benefit from the use of an orthotic device. Orthotics can rarely cause harm to the foot. Instead they both prevent and alleviate any number of foot disorders that cause pain, fatigue, or discomfort in individuals who are otherwise happy and healthy. The extent to which your foot is maligned will determine the exact type of orthotic best suited for your foot.

How do you know if you may need an orthotic? Consider the following symptoms:

One side of the sole of your shoe typically wears out faster than the other side (the soles of your worn shoes are not flat)

Your feet point inward or outward more than normal when you walk

You have frequent heel, ankle, knee, hip, or lower back pain

You frequently sprain or twist your ankle

You have flat feet or feet with a high arch

Your shins frequently hurt or ache

Your toes are crooked

Your feet generally hurt after you spend more than a few moments standing on them

If you have one or more of these symptoms, you may be a good candidate for an orthotic device. Keep in mind that pain is your body’s way is signaling you that something is wrong. Sore feet are no exception to this rule. Ignoring pain can intensify problems and lead into much more serious disorders, so it is important to find the underlying cause for your foot pain. Contact your local podiatrist to set up an appointment for an initial exam and find out if orthotics are right for you.

What are Plantar Warts?

article:

Plantar warts are a common skin infection on the bottom (plantar) side of your foot. About 10 percent of teenagers have plantar warts. Using a public shower or walking around the locker room in your bare feet after a workout increases your risk for developing plantar warts.
Cause and symptoms
Contrary to the old folk tale, you cannot get warts from touching a toad. A virus that enters the body through a break in the skin causes plantar warts. The virus develops in moist environments, warm, such as those created in your shoes when your feet perspire and the moisture is decoyed. Plantar warts often spread to other areas of the foot, increase in size, and have “babies,” resulting in a cluster that resembles a mosaic.
Plantar warts can erupt anywhere on the sole of the foot. They may be difficult to differentiate from calluses. However, you may be able to see tiny blackish spots on the surface layer of a plantar wart. These are the ends of capillary blood vessels. Calluses have no blood vessels; they generally look like yellowish candle wax and are located only over weight bearing areas.
Plantar warts can be tender and very painful. Standing and walking push the warts flat. Plantar warts grow up into the skin, making it feel like there is a stone in your shoe.
Treatment
Although plantar warts may incidentally disappear by themselves, you should seek treatment if they are painful. Your doctor will cautiously trim the plantar warts and apply a chemically treated dressing. The physician will also give you instructions for self-care. Salicylic acid patches, applied on a daily basis, and good foot hygiene, including regular use of a pumice stone, are often all that is needed. However, it may take several weeks for the plantar wart to disappear completely.
If the plantar wart is resistant to treatment, your physician may recommend an office procedure to remove it. After a local anesthetic is applied, the physician may use liquid nitrogen to freeze the plantar wart and dissolve it. To avoid damaging or scarring other tissues, this technique removes only the top portion of the plantar wart. The treatment must be reiterated regularly until the entire plantar wart is cured. Alternatively, the physician can cut out (excise) the plantar warts.

‘Stacking’ is the slang term for the use of steroids in combination with other steroids or drugs. Steroid stacks mean the blending of two or more anabolic steroids that are used idyllically in synergy for a period ranging from 2 to 10 weeks or even more.

Often, advance bodybuilders take steroid stacks to get better results from their steroid cycles. Steroid stacks help maximizing results of steroid cycles. Steroid stacks may include blending of two anabolic steroids or blending of anabolic steroids with other drugs. Deca or Primobolan is one of the most common of steroid stacks.

Steroid stacks are used for a period of 6-12 weeks to bridge between cycles and help maintain the gains they made while on. There are several steroid stacks that are popularly used by steroid users. The following are some of the common examples of steroid stacks.

* Nandrolone Decanoate and Testosterone
* Nandrolone Decanoate and Testosterone and Methandrostenolone
* Boldenone and Testosterone
* Boldenone and Trenbolone
* Trenbolone and Testosterone
* Trenbolone and Methandrostenolone
* Stanozolol and Testosterone
* Stanozolol and Trenbolone
* Stanozolol and Methenolone Enanthate
* Methenolone Enanthate and Testosterone
* Methenolone Enanthate and Methandrostenolone

Steroid stacks have synergistic effects. They help to enhance the results of steroid cycles. However, steroid stacks have more side effects. Oral steroid stacks are rather dangerous for liver. The bodybuilders who stay on multiple-steroid stacks year-round are more exposed to dangerous consequences. Steroid stacks in long term steroid cycles may leads to the severe side effects.

You might be wondering that the question what are steroids? doesn’t make sense in this Steroid Era. There is nothing to wonder about it. There are still a large number of people who really don’t know the answer of what are steroids?

Steroids are one of the most popular drugs of modern times, but there are lots of people who are yet to get the answer of what are steroids? These days, what are steroids? is one of the most sought after questions online. Most of the internet users are making searches for what are steroids? Actually, the recent controversies about steroids have really made people look for what are steroids? Undoubtedly, steroids are popular, but they are one of the most controversial drugs of modern times.

Steroids are the synthetic hormones derived from testosterone, the hormone responsible for growth and maturity. Steroids that have anabolic and androgenic properties are known as anabolic steroids. Medically, anabolic steroids are often used to treat the conditions that occur due to abnormally low amounts of testosterone production in the body; some of the conditions include delayed puberty and some types of impotence. Anabolic steroids are also used treat uncontrolled weight loss in wasting diseases, such as AIDS and other diseases that result in loss of lean muscle mass.

Anabolic steroids work as great dietary supplements during old age. According to Dr. Alan Mintz, the founder of the Las Vegas-based Cenegenics Medical Institute, steroids are wonderful medicines; they help people live healthy life in later years. There’s a tremendous benefit, if these are used in the right way.

However, anabolic steroids are often used by bodybuilders, weightlifters, athletes, and other sports persons to enhance their performance levels, power, and stamina. Steroids are also used by young boys and girls for cosmetic reasons. However, any of such uses of steroids is steroid abuse that has serious side effects.

Some of the common side effects of steroids may include wooziness, early loss of hair, sleeping troubles, nausea, depression, mood changes, joint pain, hallucinations, paranoia, urination problems, yellow fever, stroke, increased risk of heart disease, trembling, high levels of blood pressure, and increased chance of injuring muscles and tendons. Some of the serious consequences associated with the side effects of steroids may include aggressiveness, depression, anxiety and uncontrolled bouts of anger.

Steroid abuse or over doses may also cause serious affects on male & female reproductive systems, which may include testicular shrinkage, powerlessness, hair loss, sterility, development of breasts or nipples, urinary problems, increased size of prostate gland and reduced sperm count in males, and development of male features, increased facial hair growth, breast shrinkage and increased size of the clitoris in females.

What Are The Common Hair Loss Causes?

This article was originally written by Richard Mitchell

article:

One of the most worrying aspects of hair loss treatment is the tendency of so many people to seek solutions without first determining what has caused their loss in the first place.
At best, sufferers may waste money on inappropriate ‘wonder cures’ or even legitimate treatments that unfortunately are not suitable for their particular needs. At worst, some people may be risking their health by self-prescribing powerful pharmaceutical drugs. I don’t have a problem with hair loss sufferers saving money by purchasing cheap generic drugs on the internet, but I feel strongly that they should at least seek confirmation from their physician that a given drug matches their individual needs.
Before examining the most common causes of premature hair loss we need to understand that some shedding of hair is perfectly normal. Hairs grow from follicles that are tiny organs in the skin designed to grow a single hair that follows this repetitive cycle:
1. Lengthy growth period (Anagen Stage) – this phase usually lasts between two and seven years with an average growth rate of six inches (15cm) each year.
2. Short transition period (Catagen Stage) – this period of transition lasts for roughly two to four weeks. During this phase the hair shaft becomes detached and moves upwards within the follicle.
3. Resting period (Telogen Stage) – this phase lasts about three months allowing the hair to detach itself prior to falling out.
At this point a new hair begins to grow thus repeating the normal cycle of hair growth. Unfortunately a number of factors can interfere with the natural hair growth process leading to forms of hair thinning or premature baldness.
Androgenetic alopecia is the most common cause of hair loss, probably accounting for as much as 95% of pattern hair loss for both men and women. It is usually associated with aging and develops in predictable stages over varying periods of time. Each follicle follows a genetically programmed growth cycle with some follicles coded to remain active for a shorter time than others. This results in the development of the hereditary baldness patterns that are so familiar to us all.
For this type of baldness to occur, the following factors must be present:
1. A genetic predisposition for hair loss to occur (as explained above).
2. The presence of male hormones.
3. Aging – in other words, enough time for the first two factors to exert an influence.
All men and women produce male hormones such as testosterone and DHT. These have a useful role to play in both sexes but obviously occur in widely differing concentrations. It is the higher levels of androgens found in males that explains why this form of hair loss affects men more than women.
In brief, these hormones affect the hair growth cycle as follows:
1. High levels of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme occur in some cells of the hair follicle and sebaceous glands.
2. 5-alpha-reductase converts testosterone into DHT.
3. DHT causes the terminal hairs to miniaturize.
4. This leaves short, soft, fluffy vellus hairs that provide inadequate scalp coverage.
5. The growth phases gradually become shorter until these hairs are lost for good.
Alopecia areata is thought to be an immune system disorder that causes follicles to stop producing hairs in patches on the head. In severe cases it can advance to the stage where all hair on the head is lost (alopecia totalis) or even a complete absence of body hair results (alopecia universalis).
In most cases the hair will reappear on its own but until then, the condition can be very distressing to sufferers particularly as its cause can be difficult to determine. If you feel you may be suffering from this form of hair loss, seek the advice of your physician who will carry out a physical examination and conduct blood tests to help determine the cause.
Telogen effluvium is characterized by a general thinning or shedding of hair over a period of months and is most commonly found in people who have recently experienced trauma. Common causes include childbirth, major surgery, severe illness, psychological stress and chemotherapy. The good news is that the abnormal growth behavior associated with telogen effluvium is temporary and reversible.
There are numerous other less common hair loss causes that need to be discounted before a course of treatment is chosen. Traction alopecia is the loss of hair from constant pulling, usually as the result of hair styling. Broken hairs can result in thinning, often caused by excessive styling or exposure to chemicals and sun. Finally, severe illnesses or nutritional deficiencies can cause side effects that may include degrees of hair loss.
I hope this brief article has gotten across the message that diagnosing the real causes of hair loss is not always a straightforward process. Once you and your physician have identified a cause, then you can work towards restoring your hair to its former glory. And the good news is, most forms of hair loss can be treated successfully. The next article in this series will look at some of the best hair loss treatments currently available.

Several physical, medical, psychiatric or external factors cause disruption in sleep. Sleeping disorders are a common problem among people all over the world. There can be different types of sleeping disorders and the symptoms and causes may vary according to the types. Sleeping disorder usually occur due to stress, anxiety, grief, dependencies like alcoholism and various external environmental factors. Many people can experience sleeping disorders due to food sensitivity, which causes disruption while sleeping.

The state of your health can also affect your sleeping. Mood swings, chronic diseases, depression, pain and alcoholism can all cause insomnia. Many women have sleeping disorders due to menstruation-related problems, with some women reporting insomnia during their menstrual periods. Pregnancy is also a common cause of sleeping disorders in women.

Sleeping disorders can be classified into four general categories. They are dyssomnias, parasomnias, medical or psychiatric problems, and proposed disorders.

Dyssomnia happens because of the interruption to the body’s natural resting. It can be caused by external factors or due to environmental factors.

Parasomnia is a sleeping disorder that is caused by difficulties with arousal or sleeping stage changeover. It is a type of sleeping disorders where bedwetting, teeth grinding, night terrors, and sleep talking or walking can disturb sleep. Medical or psychiatric problems, which disturb sleep tend to come from alcoholism, ulcers, asthma and anxiety.

Then there are proposed disorders, which are rest-related disturbances. The time required by people to take rest varies from individual to individual. Some might require longer periods or shorter periods. But if the total rest periods are unusual in length then it causes a sleeping disorder.

There are also less serious sleeping disorders. Many people suffer with excessive night sweating without having fever. Usually you’ll wake up with your pj’s and sheets drenched in sweat. During sleep there can be fidgety or twitchy movements of limbs. Even though this is not a serious problem, it can cause disturbed sleep. Nightmares and vivid dreams can also disturb your sleep.

If you detect any of these symptoms then it is important you seek treatment. Sleep is such a vital component of good health that you should treat any prolonged sleep disorders as warranting attention.

As the population ages, cataracts are becoming a growing health concern.

A cataract is a clouding of the eye lens to such an extent that it affects vision. The majority of cataracts develop due to the aging process, and by age 80, more than half of all Americans have them. However, there are also other type of cataracts: secondary cataracts, which form after surgery for other ophthalmic diseases such as glaucoma; traumatic cataracts, which can develop after an eye injury; congenital cataracts; and radiation-inducted cataracts. Cataracts can occur in just one eye, or bilaterally.

Age-related cataracts can develop in two ways. Protein clumping in the capsule of lens causes poor transmission of light, leading to blurred and cloudy vision. Also, the normally clear lens can develop a yellow or brown tint, making it difficult to differentiate between dark colors such as dark blue and black .

Risk factors for the development of cataracts include aging, certain diseases such as diabetes (which also causes diabetic retinopathy), personal behavior such as smoking and alcohol abuse, and environmental/professional factors such as exposure to radiation or sunlight.

For instance, a study at the University of Iceland discovered that commercial airline pilots have a 3-fold increase in cataracts compared to non-pilots due to ionizing cosmic radiation at high altitudes. This radiation is normally filtered out by the atmosphere before reaching the earth. The pilots developed nuclear cataracts, which occur in the gelatinous interior of the lens, as opposed to cortical cataracts, which occur in the front capsule of the lens and are associated with UV light. The study recommended sunglasses to filter sunlight in the cockpit as a precautionary measure to prevent any synergistic effects of UV light, but offered no solution to the basic problem of radiation exposure during high-altitude flights.

Cataracts can be discovered in a routine eye exam, or after the patient complains of symptoms such as cloudy or blurred vision, poor color perception, glare and haloes around lights, poor night vision, double vision, or frequent eyewear prescription changes. Some of these symptoms can also be caused by diseases other than cataracts.

In the early stages, the symptoms of cataracts may be relieved by stronger eyeglasses, brighter lighting, anti-glare sunglasses and magnifying lenses. However, if the cataract formation progresses, it may interfer intolerably with activities of everyday living. At this stage, surgery to remove the clouded natural lens and replace it with a synthetic one is the only effective treatment. Surgery relieves vision problems in 90% of cataract patients; however, many elderly cataract patients have other ophthalmic diseases such as glaucoma or age-related macular degeneration which also affect vision.

There are two different surgical procedures to remove cataracts. In phacoemulsification, also called “small incision cataract surgery”, a small incision is made in the cornea, and an ultrasonic probe is used to break up the diseased lens so it can be removed by suction. Extracapsular surgery is more rarely done, and in this case the surgeon makes a longer incision on the side of the cornea and removes the core of the lens in one piece before suctioning out the remaining pieces. Following removal of the natural lens, an artificial lens, called an intraocular lens (IOL), is inserted. The surgery is usually done on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic and sedation.

Cataract surgery is usually safe, but complications such as infection, bleeding and retinal detachement occur in a few patients. Other co-existing eye disorders such as severe myopia increase this risk. Retinal detachment is a medical emergency, and can be ignored by the patient because it causes no pain. A post-operative patient who has symptoms of “floaters” or light flashes must be evaluated immediately for retinal detachment, since early treatment can prevent loss of vision.

There are protective nutritional measures against cataracts available to everyone. In a study on nutrition and disease performed by the Harvard School of Public Health on 50,828 nurses, it was found that women taking vitamin C supplements of 250 to 500 mg daily for a decade or more decreased their odds of developing cataracts requiring surgery by 45%. Vitamin A also plays a role; the same study found that women with the highest beta-carotene and vitamin A intakes lowered their risk by 39%. In another study, taking 400 mg of vitamin E daily reduced cataract formation by 50%, and in a related study, it was found that people with the highest blood levels of vitamin E had half the risk of developing cataracts as those with the lowest blood levels. Lutein and zeaxanthin, found in vegetable such as spinach and kale, are also said to be protective. Trace minerals such as zinc and selenium are essential for the function of anti-oxidant enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase, and doctors often add these minerals to eye-protective vitamin formulas.

Originally, Cheque Drops were used in vet medicine to normalize the heat cycles of female dogs for breeding purposes, but cheque drops developed into short-range steroids.

Cheque Drops are composed of the steroid Mibolerone. Cheque Drops are quite strong and have to be used with proper care to get the most benefits with least side effects. Dan Duchaine allegedly revealed the uses and benefits of Cheque Drops for musclebuilding. Cheque drops attained too much popularity due to definitive fighting circles additionally. The reason behind their popularity in such cases is due to the increase of aggressiveness they can present jocks before events.

Cheque Drops have been popular with jocks who take part in physical, full-contact sports including football, boxing and martial arts. Cheque Drops’ aptitude to raise hostility has been victorious for such sports. Cheque Drops were delivered in mcg quantities in liquid droppers.

Cheque Drops are several times solider than testosterone. The main intention behind adding up a few drops of Cheque Drops to the food of female dogs in heat to keep them controlled. Human jocks used a few drops of Cheque Drops under the tongue before a sporting event or training to increase their belligerency. But, often because of low doses, the athletes making use of Cheque Drops experience small, or no anabolic outcomes.

If Cheque Drops are used in high quantities or for over two weeks, they can gravely have an effect on natural testosterone production in the body. In addition, it can also cause liver damage. If not used properly, it can also cause gynocomastia. Other fallouts include insomnia and hypertension. Cheque Drops should not be used by women due to its unique use in determining the ovulation cycle in female dogs. Women would probably experience severe acne, deepening voice, lessoned or ceased menstruation and clitoral enlargement. It is banished because of its affect on the body and adrenaline.
